Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Education or related field, OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of related professional experience in Education.
• Experience mentoring student teachers and supervising classroom instruction.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Pennsylvania academic standards, instructional assessment, and teacher certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Observation and Evaluation: Conduct scheduled observations of student teachers in middle/high school classrooms; Evaluate planning, delivery, management, and assessment; Provide feedback.
• Student Teacher Mentoring: Support candidates in instructional strategies, differentiation, assessment, and professional responsibilities.
• Coordination with Cooperating Teachers: Maintain regular communication; participate in conferences; resolve concerns about performance or placement.
• Documentation and Program Support: Maintain records of observations and progress; assist with assessments; communicate concerns to the program coordinator.
• Other duties: participate in committees and advise students; may work off-campus or via distance education asynchronously/synchronously via Zoom.
