Job summary

Pellissippi State Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Radiologic Technology Positioning Lab. The role focuses on quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment in classroom and laboratory settings.

The appointment supports the School of Sciences and Nursing with duties including course planning, student supervision, equipment requests, grading, and office hours. Position is adjunct and as-needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of clinical radiology experience.
  • Current ARRT certification and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach classes as assigned and per syllabi.
  • Supervise students and their learning activities.
  • Submit requests for equipment, supplies, and textbooks through dept. head or lead teacher.
  • Evaluate academic progress of students.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures.
  • Submit grades and perform admin duties as required.
  • Schedule two office hours and provide a plan if hours cannot be scheduled.

Title: Adjunct Instructor - Radiologic Technology Positioning Lab Instructor

Position Summary:

To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.

School: School of Sciences and Nursing

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi.
  • Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned.
  • Submitting requests through the department head, program coordinator, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids.
  • Evaluating the academic progress of students.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
  • Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.
  • Scheduling two office hours. For extenuating circumstances in which office hours cannot be scheduled, the adjunct faculty member must submit a written plan to the Dean describing how students can access the instructor. Office hours are not paid during the summer session.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum of Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology 5+ Years of Clinical Experience Current ARRT Certification/Registered Current BLS Certified
