Job summary

State of South Carolina Airport Campus, School of Health Care, is seeking a Nurse Educator to supervise nursing students in clinical settings, providing hands-on and theoretical instruction across clinical rotations. The role includes evaluating student performance, managing clinical documentation, and preparing reports while ensuring compliance with facility requirements.

Must hold an active SC Nursing License and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least two years of recent clinical experience in a specialty area.
• Must hold an active, unencumbered SC Nursing License and current BLS Certification.
• Must meet all requirements for clinical participation per clinical facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of students in clinical settings, including hands-on and theoretical instruction.
• Manage clinical activities, prepare reports and documentation, and conduct student evaluations.
• Assess student performance and maintain attendance, grades, and progress records.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of students in a variety of clinical settings. Instruction includes hands on and theory, clinical management of students, and administrative tasks that may include reports, clinical documentation and student evaluations.
• Assess the performance of students on a regular basis, maintain records of student attendance, grades and progress. Other duties assigned as needed.

This position is located on the Airport Campus in the School of Health Care.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least two (2) years recent clinical experience in specialty area required. Active, unencumbered SC Nursing License, Current BLS Certification and must meet all requirements for clinical participation per clinical facility.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree and clinical teaching experience preferred.
