This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time/adjunct assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual‑credit/early college classes.
Master’s degree with a minimum of (18) graduate hours in the discipline.
Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met.
Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
Successful college teaching experience is required. Successful experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.
Ability to teach and communicate with students of varied multicultural backgrounds.
Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success.
Knowledge of a learning college and/or knowledge of learning communities.
Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas).
