Weatherford College is looking for adjunct instructors to join their faculty. This position involves teaching courses across various modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, and mentoring students inside and outside of the classroom.
The adjunct faculty member must create and maintain an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned. Teaching modalities may be face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or within the context of dual credit instruction. Hours vary depending on the need and course schedule and may include day, evening, and/or weekend instruction.
All faculty members must possess the minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degree completion. These standards include an appropriate academic degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with the application.

Faculty are expected to provide instruction in both traditional and non‑traditional learning modes and engage in instructional preparation. Provide timely feedback to students and respond to student communications promptly. Assess student performance, including submission of final grades in a timely fashion. Maintain ethical and professional behavior. Be available to students by appointment. Attend adjunct faculty meetings. Assess courses on departmental and institutional levels. Complete any required training. Other related duties, as assigned.
All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
Each adjunct faculty member must demonstrate the ability to instruct in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses; to provide instruction that will achieve the specific goals and objectives associated with all assigned courses; to create a professional and effective learning environment in the classroom and/or laboratory; to communicate effectively with students, college personnel and administration, peers, and public groups; to treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice, without discrimination based upon age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity; to exercise the highest professional and ethical standards in the use of College time and resources; and to observe the stated policies and procedures of the College.
