WEATHERFORD COLLEGE in Weatherford, Texas is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Substance Abuse Counseling. This position involves teaching and mentoring students, creating effective learning experiences, and adhering to educational standards.

Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, and mentoring students inside and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned (face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or dual credit instruction). Faculty are expected to provide instruction in both traditional and non‑traditional learning modes, engage in instructional preparation, provide timely feedback, and respond to student communications in a timely manner. Students are assessed, with final grades submitted in a timely fashion. Faculty maintain ethical and professional behavior, remain available to students by appointment, attend adjunct faculty meetings, assess courses at departmental and institutional levels, complete required training, and perform other related duties as assigned.
All faculty members must possess minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential standards for faculty teaching workforce certificate or degree completion courses, including an appropriate academic degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.
