Troy University in Troy, Alabama, is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for History to teach courses such as American and World History surveys. This position requires a Masters’ Degree in History and 18 graduate hours in the subject. Candidates with a Ph.D. and teaching experience are preferred.
As an Adjunct Instructor, you will manage your courses and advise students on academic progress. This role is fulfilled on an as-needed basis based on semester contracts.
The Adjunct Instructor position is responsible for teaching courses including the American, Western Civilization, and/or World History surveys. Adjunct faculty members are employed to provide specific courses on an as‑needed basis. Contracts for adjunct faculty members are issued on a semester or term basis. Adjunct Instructors hold the responsibility for the management of courses taught. Adjunct Instructors are expected to be available for a reasonable amount of time for each course taught to counsel students regarding course work.
1. Masters’ Degree in History or a related field AND 18 graduate hours in History.
