The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach various history courses. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in History or related field, with a Doctorate preferred. Responsibilities include creating a dynamic learning environment and fulfilling departmental initiatives.
Successful candidates will have strong teaching skills and may teach courses in Early Modern Europe, Ancient World, NJ History, and more. Prior experience in college or university teaching is preferred.
CCM seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in various areas of history. We are looking for individuals with a passion for historical inquiry, strong teaching skills, and a commitment to student success. All faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses and following the course description and course outline established by the department. Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and online/hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities. In accordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement (CBA), additional responsibilities may include participation in departmental initiatives, such as assessment, and responding to requests regarding grades, grade submissions, course‑related content, and other duties. Adjuncts may also be asked to show evidence of academic achievement and/or recognition by professional and community organizations.
Master’s degree in History (or related field) from a regionally accredited institution required. Doctorate preferred.
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities.
Opportunities may exist for candidates who can teach Early Modern Europe, the Ancient World, the Middle Ages, NJ History, Modern Middle East, Latin American History, and History of the African‑American Experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
