Job summary

Motlow College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor – Computer-Aided Design (Pool) to deliver CAD courses using on-ground, online, and hybrid formats. The role collaborates with course leads and coordinators to ensure consistent student experiences and uses the college's LMS to share materials.

The ideal candidate has an associate's degree in technology or related field, or an associate degree with CAD workforce experience, and preferably college teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned.
  • Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
  • Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
  • Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.
  • Regularly check College email account and department mailbox.
  • Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
  • Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines.
  • Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.
  • Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.

Adjunct Instructor – Computer-Aided Design (Pool)

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Computer-Aided Design.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s degree in Technology or related field or Associate’s degree with workforce experience using computer-aided design software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

College level teaching experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Rate of Pay

$650.00 - $740.00 per credit hour
