Job Overview
Adjunct Instructors are responsible for facilitating student learning and developing instructional strategies that promote student success.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Foster student learning by developing appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and support engagement.
- Employ learning experiences that integrate multiple delivery methodologies and instructional technologies to maximize student success, including hybrid, in‑person, virtual, and online course delivery.
- Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to help students succeed, using data to measure quality outcomes and implement improvement strategies.
- Maintain classroom management: fulfill assigned schedule, keep accurate student attendance and grade records, and maintain a safe and secure instructional environment.
- Participate in team activities, engaging with the department and staying current with internal and external changes and initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with community, industry, and clinical partners, and promote the College and its programs.
- Advocate for students, collaborating with Student Services to retain students, close achievement gaps, and help all students succeed.
- Pursue professional development in emerging trends and current occupational practices, maintaining Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements and licensure.
- Develop curriculum and instructional materials that are competency‑based, current, consistent with employer expectations, and aligned with college policy.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: A Master’s degree in the discipline or subfield, or a Master’s degree plus 18 graduate credits, or a Master’s degree plus appropriate licensure.
- Previous teaching experience is desirable.
- Experience with User Experience and CRM preferred.
- Proficiency using a learning management system.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability to changing demands and assignments.
- Background check will be conducted; results may be considered.
Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements
- Maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements and Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS).
- Meet accreditation licensing standards required for the discipline.
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of sitting while using computer systems.
- Occasional mobility for meetings, tours, or events.
- Precise hand movements for activities such as writing or using instructional technology.
- Typing or other repetitive motions without discomfort.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment
Work may be completed virtually or in a hybrid setting, primarily in a classroom environment; workplace conditions are subject to change based on college needs.

Additional Information
Hourly pay rate: $45.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and market data. Pay will be consistent with the applicable compensation structure.
