Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach part-time, in-person courses at our Phoenix campus for the Spring Semester. The course is Communication Capstone, a writing-intensive seminar where students synthesize their work and connect research to career goals.

You will facilitate lectures and discussions, assess student progress, and mentor students within a collaborative setting that aligns with the University’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Professional teaching experience required.
• PhD in Communication or Master’s in Communication with Research Methods coursework preferred.
• Exceptions for Master’s in any field with 18 graduate credits in Communications and Research Methods or substantial teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
