Job summary

Job description

  • High School Diploma. Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Minimum 5 years work experience in the industrial or construction field. Including but not limited to Rigging but further experience in crane operations, heavy crane operations, and ironworker rigging a plus.
  • Forklift Operator license or the ability to obtain one.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience
  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Rigging.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of transporting materials and equipment from one location to another.
  • Knowledge and understanding of rated capacity, sling alignment, hitches and hardware attachments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of manual, electric and overhead trolley hoists.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ANSI hand signals.
Job Duties
  • Teach assigned classes in keeping with approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials through classroom and lab instruction.
  • Provide counsel/guidance to students when there is a need.
  • Maintain accurate student accounting records in compliance with COM .

Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
