College of the Mainland seeks an adjunct instructor to deliver Technical Mathematics for Industrial programs, preparing students to succeed in industrial employment. You will provide practical instruction, connect theory to practice, and assess student progress.
This part-time role requires a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and at least one year of teaching experience, with strong communication skills and ability to engage a diverse student body in higher education.
To provide instruction to students in Technical Mathematics for the Industrial programs. Prepare students to succeed in the Industrial related employment.

Display a thorough knowledge of the curriculum and its application in general and technical education
Ensure all activities conform to state and local guidelines for general higher education courses Facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students
Verify and maintain records of student attendance, performance and inform students regularly of their performance in the course
Teach information, skills, and attitudes that support the learning objectives identified for each course
Develop and maintain an environment conducive to high student learning
Participate in assessment of student learning for the general education program
Support the vision, mission, and policies of the College
Perform other duties as assigned

Generally, involves 80% sitting, 10% walking and 10% standing, however some days may require much more walking and standing
