Job summary

Brandeis University's Rabb School seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach RUCD 125: AI for Human Centered Design for Spring 2027, session 1. This 3‑credit asynchronous online course supports the MS in User-Centered Design and Masters Certificate in Technology Futures.

The instructor will facilitate eight weeks of content, provide rubric-based feedback, and maintain active presence in online forums while upholding accessibility standards and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Factors, HCI, UX or related discipline.
• Active employment in Human Factors, HCI, UX, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of UX or related discipline experience.
• Applied experience designing AI agents and/or AI-enabled software.
• Applied knowledge of AI design and prototyping tools, including Figma Make.
• Applied knowledge of generative AI tool use for UX research.
• Basic Vibe coding proficiency.
• At least 1 year of teaching or training experience (preferably online).
• Proficiency with LMS platforms and digital authoring tools.
• Familiarity with analytical tools and collaborative platforms.
• Strong communication, organization, and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Course Logistics and Facilitation: manage content rollout, weekly announcements, and platform use.
• Instructor Presence and Engagement: host live sessions, run weekly discussions, be available for student consults.
• Individual Feedback and Grading: provide rubric-based evaluations with supportive commentary weekly.
• Professional Conduct and Standards: follow university protocols, maintain netiquette, ensure accessibility and visibility standards.
