Job summary

Brandeis University’s Rabb School seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach RUCD 125: AI for Human Centered Design for the 2027 Spring 1 session. This 8-week, 3-credit asynchronous online course is part of the MS in User-Centered Design and Masters Certificate in Technology Futures.

The course covers AI integration in UX, prototyping, and personalization, with emphasis on ethics, transparency, inclusion, and trust. Responsibilities include logistics, live sessions, and rubric-based feedback.

Qualifications

Must have a Master’s degree in Human Factors, HCI, UX, or related discipline.
Current, active employment in Human Factors, HCI, UX, or related disciplines.
5+ years of professional experience in UX or related disciplines.
Applied experience designing AI agents and/or AI-enabled software.
Applied knowledge of AI design and prototyping tools, including Figma Make.
Applied knowledge of generative AI tool use for user experience research.
Basic Vibe coding proficiency.
At least 1 year of teaching or training experience (online/asynchronous preferred).
Proficiency with LMS platforms and digital authoring tools.
Familiarity with analytical tools, collaborative platforms, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Strong communication, organization, and independent work skills

Responsibilities

Course Logistics and Facilitation: organize content rollout and weekly announcements.
Instructor Presence and Engagement: host live sessions and regular student consultations.
Individual Feedback and Grading: rubric-based evaluations within weekly timeframes.
Professional Conduct and Standards: adhere to campus protocols and accessibility standards.
