Main Campus
Support the goals and mission of the college; provide quality instruction to students; and communicate with your department chair or administrator. Teaching duties will consist of courses from the Medical Assistant curriculum, which may include:
Associate’s degree in health science or a related field. CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification, registration, or licensure as a healthcare professional with minimum 2,000 hours of relevant work experience. Certain courses may require additional qualifications.
• Appropriate certification or licensure, or an Associate’s degree in a health science discipline or a related field.
• Registered Nurse, Certified Medical Assistant, or Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) with recent ambulatory clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of course content, as evidenced by education and/or experience.
• Experience in effective direction and evaluation of student learning and laboratory performance.
• Preparation in educational theory and techniques.
• Credentialed or eligible for national credentialing as a medical assistant is desirable.
Part Time
Hours to be determined. Primarily evenings on the main campus.
