Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Web Design and related courses. The position involves delivering lectures and labs, preparing lesson plans, and maintaining essential documentation for program success.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s degree with graduate hours and credentialing; two years of relevant work experience is preferred. This is a part-time, non-benefited, Exempt/Professional appointment reporting to the Program Director – Web Design.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree with graduate hours and credentialing as applicable.
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
  • Credentialing to satisfy accrediting bodies for the course(s) taught.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver lecture and/or lab material for Web Design and related courses.
  • Develop lesson plans and assessments aligned with course outcomes.
  • Maintain required documentation and reports for program compliance.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and placement efforts as needed.
  • Adhere to campus safety and security and participate in trainings as required.
  • Perform other duties to support the Gwinnett Technical College mission.

Minimum Requirements (Job Code 10317):

Bachelor’ s degree in field and 18 graduate hours in field; OR Master’s degree in field.Musthave a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy allappropriate accreditingbodies for the courses assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science related field.Working knowledge ofWeb Design andDevelopment, PHP, Ruby, Python, AdvancedJavaScript,jQuery, HTML5, CSS, LAMP Stack, Photoshop, Flash, InDesign, Illustrator, Canvas, Java, and .NET. Teaching or Industry experience with Web development is ideal.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for specified courses.(10%)

  • Prepares andmaintainsall required documentation and administrative reports.
