Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Residential Carpentry to deliver lectures and labs, following prepared lesson plans for technical core courses. The role includes evaluating student progress and maintaining required documentation, with duties that support recruiting and placement efforts.

The position is part-time, non-benefited, under the Engineering Construction Manufacturing and Design Division, reporting to the Program Director-Carpentry and Residential

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or Associate’s degree in discipline plus at least two years related work experience.
  • Two years related work experience is required.
  • Preferred qualifications: Postsecondary teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and delivers lecture and/or computer lab course material.
  • Follows prepared lesson plans for classroom instruction for technical core courses.
  • Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
  • Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
  • Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work and operates effectively within the organizational structure.
  • Assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
