Core Competencies and Qualifications
  • Earned Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Business, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a computer-related field with minimum two years of industry experience; OR a Bachelor's in another discipline with minimum five years of industry experience; OR a Bachelor's with relevant certifications.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Uphold best scholarly and ethical standards.
  • Participate in professional development to improve teaching strategies.
  • Foster honest academic conduct and ensure fair evaluations.
  • Demonstrate respect for students and maintain a respectful learning environment.
  • Treat all students fairly with non‑discrimination.
  • Master course material and prepare lessons and materials prior to class.
  • Teach courses per Course Master and departmental policies; methods may differ.
  • Be available for student consultations to promote learning.
  • Attend all scheduled classes and examinations.
  • Grade and return written work promptly; maintain records and submit reports.
  • Develop and distribute the course syllabus; adhere to it and participate in evaluation.
  • Know and recommend College support services for students.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings.
  • Maintain scholarly and professional conduct with students and staff.
  • Notify Associate Dean if unable to meet a scheduled class; schedule vacations appropriately.
  • Perform assessment of student learning.
