Adjunct Faculty, Spanish Language - FA25

College of DuPage believes in the power of teaching and learning. We seek adjunct faculty members to teach Spanish Language.

COD faculty are committed to facilitating and supporting student success in learning. We strive to meet the individual educational needs of our unique, multicultural campus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings.
• Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes: face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended formats.
• Responsible for student evaluation and timely, accurate submission of required paperwork.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Spanish is required.
• A Master's Degree in Spanish Education is acceptable with at least 18 graduate-level hours in Spanish (literature, linguistics, grammar, film, etc.).
• College-level teaching experience is preferred.
• Teaching approach grounded in a communicative language acquisition approach is essential.

This position may involve teaching all levels of Spanish during the day (1101, 1102, 2201, 2202) in person at our main campus in Glen Ellyn. Ability to teach remotely using technology and experience in online or virtual teaching are preferred. Access to personal technology and a home computer capable of online teaching are required.

Positions are paid via stipends for course assignments. A pre-employment background check at the college's expense is required.
