Job summary

Job Summary:

Mercy University's School of Education Studies is looking forqualified adjunct faculty members who can teach foundationalcourses (e.g., Special Education, Leadership, Secondary Education,Early Childhood /Childhood Education, Literacy and/or TESOLprograms).

Required Skills & Experience:
  • A teaching certificate from the relevant field
  • Teaching experiences in K-12 schools
  • Teaching experiences in Higher Education
  • Experiences in online teaching and learning
  • Willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds andneeds
  • Collegiality with other faculty members
  • Effectiveness in communication
  • Skilled to prepare teacher candidates for working with studentswith diverse learning needs in a variety of settings
Education Requirements:
  • A doctoral/M.S. degree from a relevant field (such as EarlyChildhood/Childhood Education, Special Education, EducationalLeadership, Literacy, TESOL, Secondary Education)
  • A teaching certificate from the relevant field (e.g., SWD,Childhood Education, Social Studies)
  • Preferred, but not mandatory: ability to teach on the DobbsFerry and Bronx campuses in person during the day
