Job summary

Mercy University in the New York metropolitan area seeks part-time adjunct instructors to teach Media Studies courses to undergraduate students. Courses may be offered at the Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, or Bronx campuses, or online, with up to three sections per semester.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Media Studies program of the Communication and the ArtsDepartment at Mercy University seeks part-time, adjunct instructors to teach Media Studies courses to undergraduate students. Successful candidates may be offered the opportunity to teach up to three section(s) of any given course, with an emphasis on journalism, radio and television production and film studies, with a maximum of three course assignments per semester. Commitment to teaching with inclusive excellence is required. Candidates may also be asked to provide assistance with program assessment and development and to attend select programmatic or professional development meetings. Schedule: Day and Evening teaching opportunities. Location: Courses may be offered at the Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, or Bronx campuses, or online. Candidates should provide a statement of scholarly interests.
