The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for Respiratory Therapy. The role focuses on creating an engaging learning environment while teaching assigned courses, including day/evening and online formats.
Qualifications entail a Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, necessary credentials, and prior teaching experience is preferred. Strong communication skills and knowledge of the discipline are essential for success in this position.
All faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses and following the course description and course outline established by the department. Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and online/hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities. In accordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement (CBA), additional activities may include participation in departmental initiatives, evidence of academic achievements, recognition by professional and community organizations, and other duties.
Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred from a regionally accredited institution. NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials required. Current NJ State Respiratory Care Practitioner license and BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities. Additional job experience may be substituted for a Master’s Degree in selected discipline.
Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability to teach lab courses and/or tutor in learning centers as appropriate. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
