Job description

Position Overview

The Respiratory Care/Therapy Adjunct teaches courses in the lecture, laboratory and/or clinical setting. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Responsibilities
  • Provides instruction in Respiratory Care/Therapy courses
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field and Associate's degree in Respiratory Care
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential
  • Valid State of Florida Respiratory Therapist licensure
  • 3 years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
  • Basic computer skills
