Job Description

The Health Sciences Department offers college‑level Radiography courses in a face‑to‑face format. Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and maintain College and department standards. This position reports to the Department Head, Allied Health.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in Radiography courses.
• Develop and revise curricula.
• Assess student learning.
• Participate in program evaluation.
• Maintain College and department standards.
• When serving as a clinical preceptor:
  • Maintain knowledge of program mission and goals.
  • Understand clinical objectives and the clinical evaluation system and evaluate students’ clinical competence.
  • Provide students with clinical instruction and supervision.
  • Participate in the assessment process as appropriate.
  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress, and monitor and enforce program policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a qualifying field.
• Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Successful criminal background check required.
• Ability to use technology required for assigned course(s).
• Must meet Florida Statutes §435.04(2) background investigation requirements; a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted.

Salary Range: Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level as follows: Bachelor’s Degree or less – $32.00; Master’s Degree – $35.00; Doctorate – $38.00.
