Aims Community College invites applications for a Part-time Adjunct Faculty position in Physical Education at the Early College Academy in Greeley, CO. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field required or
• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field with 2,000 hours of related experience and CPR certification
• Associate’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field with 4,000 hours of related experience and CPR certification
• Current Heartsaver CPR certification required across qualifications
• For other combinations, a current relevant certification plus 10,000 hours of related experience and CPR certification may apply

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Early College assignment requirements and events
• Teach to develop, implement, evaluate and update program curriculum
• Deliver high-quality instruction using modernized curricula
• Utilize alternative delivery technologies to support student learning
• Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Early College High School program gives high school students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while subsequently earning an Associate of Arts degree. Occasional travel may be required.**Job Duties:*** Maintain compliance with the requirements of the Early College assignment, including contract days, work-day schedule, and participating in Early College events such as New Student Orientation, Student Registration, In-Service Days and Parent/Teacher Conferences as specified in the Early College Faculty contract addendum.* Maintain compliance with the provisions of the College’s part-time faculty position description including teaching to develop, implement, evaluate and update the purpose, philosophy, objectives and organizational framework of the program.* Maintain compliance regarding all faculty responsibilities enumerated in the College Policies and Procedures.* Provide effective and high-quality instruction in all levels of course offerings by continually refining and modernizing curriculum so that it remains educationally sound and meets the high standards of the College.* Use alternative delivery technology in lecture and laboratory instruction to enhance student learning.* Apply learning-centered educational practices such as creating and communicating clearly defined outcomes for student learning.* Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes.* Perform other duties as assigned.**Work Hours:** Monday-Friday at Early College Academy.
