DescriptionThe Department of English, Communication, Culture, and Art at Western New England University invites applications to fill openings for Adjunct Professor of English in the fall 2026 semester.The department seeks a candidate who can teach at least two in-person sections of a first-year composition course on Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings. First-year composition courses focus on teaching critical reading and academic writing skills, including developing a sensitivity to language and writing, mastering citation and documentation skills, and critically assessing one’s own writing as well as that of others. Particular attention is given to the importance of thesis, evidence, audience, and thoughtful revision.
