Waubonsee Community College in Aurora Downtown Campus is seeking a Part-time Adjunct Faculty member for the Nurse Assistant Program. The adjunct will deliver curriculum, provide instruction, and assess student learning to support program outcomes and student success.
The successful candidate will use instructional technology to enhance teaching and adapt to multiple delivery modes (face-to-face, online, hybrid). Waubonsee does not hire fully remote adjunct instructors.

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for delivering curriculum, providing instruction, and performing student learning assessment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively use instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning. Courses at Waubonsee Community College may be offered in various delivery modes including, but not limited to, face-to-face, asynchronous online, synchronous online, hybrid, and flex. Waubonsee does not hire fully remote adjunct instructors.

Minimum Experience
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Illinois license
4000 hours of nursing experience (2 years) as an RN with 2000 of those hours (1 year) in one of the following: (a) Teaching theory in an accredited nurse training program or BNATP, (b) Providing nursing care, including personal care and ADLs to older or chronically ill adults, or (c) 1 year experience in long-term care
Completed Department-approved Train the Trainer course (BSN+ exempt, may be completed immediately upon hire)
Provide documentation of 4 CEU’s in Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias (this is included in Train the Trainer, BSN+ are NOT exempt from this requirement)
