Job summary

Waubonsee Community College in Aurora Downtown Campus is seeking a Part-time Adjunct Faculty member for the Nurse Assistant Program. The adjunct will deliver curriculum, provide instruction, and assess student learning to support program outcomes and student success.

The successful candidate will use instructional technology to enhance teaching and adapt to multiple delivery modes (face-to-face, online, hybrid). Waubonsee does not hire fully remote adjunct instructors.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Illinois.
Minimum 4000 hours nursing experience with specified teaching/long-term care exposure.
Completion of Department-approved Train the Trainer course.
Documentation of 4 CEU in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Responsibilities

Design syllabi, lessons, activities, assignments and assessments meeting course descriptions and outcomes.
Meet deadlines for attendance, grades and data for student learning assessment.
Incorporate learning-centered principles and classroom technology to enhance teaching.
Integrate instructional technology to deliver and enhance learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to serve student and community needs.
Model professionalism with strong communication and presentation skills.
