Job description

The College of Business and Security Management (CBSM) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is looking for qualified adjunct faculty for the 2026-2027 Academic Year to create online course content and develop engaging curricula for the following areas: Accounting, Applied Management, Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Management, Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and Sport & Recreation Management. Successful applicants should have a master's degree or Ph.D. in a related field and professional experience in the field of study relevant to the course being developed. Applicants should be familiar with online learning.

Work might be in-person or remote, depending on the needs of the program respective to the course being developed.

  • Extensive experience in the field of study related to the course being developed.
  • Ability to create online course content.
  • Experience sufficient to perform the job.
  • Experience in higher education is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree or Ph.D. related to accounting, applied management, business administration, economics, homeland security and emergency management, or healthcare management.

Position Details:

This is a part-time position. For the development and creation of a three-credit course, salary rates are $5,424.00 or $1,808.00 per credit hour. For updating an existing course, salary rates are typically $2,712.00 (rates may vary depending on how much work is required).
