Seminole State College of Florida is seeking adjunct faculty to teach assigned music courses, develop syllabi, deliver instruction, and assess student learning. You will post syllabi, prepare materials, and provide timely feedback within department guidelines.

Adjunct Faculty are responsible for teaching assigned courses, which includes developing and posting syllabi, preparing and delivering instruction, designing assignments and assessments, grading student work, and providing timely, constructive feedback.
In addition, Adjunct Faculty are expected to engage in professional development, effectively utilize the College's Online Learning Management System (CANVAS), maintain open communication with students, colleagues, and supervisors, and may contribute to curriculum improvement efforts aimed at enhancing student success.

Adjunct positions are temporary, part-time, and filled based on enrollment. Adjunct faculty are paid according to Seminole State College's Non-Bargaining Unit Salary Schedule, based on the instructor's highest degree earned.

Finalists and individuals recommended for employment at Seminole State College may be subject to background investigations and fingerprinting in compliance with Florida Statute 1001.64; and Seminole State College Policy 1.020; 2.020. The Office of Human Resources will determine which background checks shall be conducted for each position, based upon its review of job descriptions and the responsibilities of the position.
