Ivy Tech Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach courses on campus in Indiana. Adjuncts are hired per semester for 8 or 16 week contracts and are responsible for creating a learning environment and providing effective instruction in line with standard syllabi.
Pay is $45.45 per contact hour. Responsibilities include delivering classes, using technology, developing course materials, maintaining records, and upholding FERPA and college policies.
Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis and can teach for 8 or 16 week contracts. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

A qualified adjunct faculty member meets the education component of the School of Technology discipline standard through one of three routes:
1. Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution in technology, engineering, engineering technology; or an earned baccalaureate or higher degree directly related to the program's discipline
And, possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
And, two years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);
OR
2. Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution And, possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
And five years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);
OR
3. Possesses an earned associate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution directly related to the program's discipline
And, possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
And three years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);

Classes for this position must be taught in-person on campus
Preferred candidates will have experience with and the ability to teach topics not limited to but including, Safety, Electrical, Mechanical, Fluid Power, PLC's, Robotics, Vision Systems, HMI's, and VFD's.
