Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is looking for an Adjunct Faculty member in Miami, Florida, to provide instruction primarily in Pharmacy Technician courses. Teaching may occur in various modalities including in-person, online, and blended classes.

The ideal candidate must hold an Associate’s degree and valid licensure as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician. Responsibilities include planning instructional materials, evaluating students, and participating in departmental affairs.

Job Family: FAC - Part-Time Faculty, Credit Classes; Grade: P1; Salary: $54.37 - Base Rate; Department: Health Sciences; Reports To: Department Chairperson, Health Sciences; Closing Date: Posted on an ongoing basis; FLSA Status: Exempt - Not Eligible for Overtime Compensation; First Review Date: October 6, 2025.

Position Overview

This Adjunct faculty member provides instruction primarily in Pharmacy Technician courses and other related areas given appropriate credentials.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

What you will be doing
  • Teaches in lecture, laboratory and/or clinical settings.
  • Plans and organizes instructional materials to meet course objectives.
  • Participates in curriculum development and revision that stress innovation and multicultural emphasis.
  • Evaluates and advises students.
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs.
  • Develops curricula.
  • Teaches both, evening and weekend classes as needed.
  • Recruits students.
  • Serves on committees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed
  • Associate's degree and a Valid State of Florida Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician licensure/registration and 3 years of full‑time work and/or instructional experience as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community.
  • Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off‑campus offering sites.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a multi‑ethnic/multi‑cultural environment.
