Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking adjunct faculty in Engineering to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. You will provide syllabi, maintain records, and be available to students outside class time.
Instruction will use Canvas, PowerPoint, and other tools as needed. Candidates should hold a master’s or higher in engineering, plus two years’ engineering experience or a PE license; preference for prior undergraduate teaching.
Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. The adjunct faculty members will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.
A qualified faculty member in Engineering meets both of the following criteria: Possess an earned master’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in an engineering discipline, and One of the following: Two years' work experience in an Engineering field, or Professional Engineering (PE) License
For ENGR 116: Must either meet the above Engineering qualifications or meet both of the following criteria: Possess an earned baccalaureate degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a Technology discipline, and Two years' work experience in an Engineering field
For ENGR 140 and ENGR 160: Must either meet the above Engineering qualifications or meet both of the following criteria: Possess an earned baccalaureate degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics, and Two years' work experience in an Engineering field
