With a dramatic increase in undergraduate and graduate enrollment and a new building that allows us to expand, theElectrical and Computer Engineering Department (www.rowan.edu/ece ) at Rowan University is growing. To support this robust growth, we seek energetic and innovative teacher-scholars as Adjunct Faculty who are interested in sharing their knowledge and wisdom with our students and share our commitment to excellence in engineering education.
Our Adjunct Faculty, who are typically active or retired industry professionals, constitute an important part of the fabric of the Rowan ECE community as they bring their unique experiences and perspectives to our department.
The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching innovative, project-based courses in the electrical and computer engineering curriculum. These courses may be core or elective, depending on the applicant's area of expertise. We welcome qualified and dedicated individuals with a background in all areas of ECE, including but not limited to:

As a department, we greatly value experiential and project-based learning, integrating emerging topics and technologies into the curriculum, and providing anoutstanding and state-of-the-art array of equipment, instruments, rapid prototyping, fabrication and computational resources to support such activities. Our dedication to project-based learning is reflectedin our curriculum , as all our courses include lab/project components. As a result, we seek individuals who share this dedication, possess the skills and passion to develop innovative hands-on lab projects or other experiential learning activities using appropriate modern tools, and have the ability to integrate such projects/activities into the course content.
Applicants must have earned at least a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Individuals with industry and/or academic experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
Effective communication skills, the capacity to collaborate with multi-disciplinary student and faculty teams, and the capability to teach in a project-based environment are essential. The position is part-time, non-tenure-track, with renewable contracts contingent upon performance (including student evaluations), departmental needs, and university and budgetary approvals. Residency Requirements
Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Any person hired to a non-exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or have one (1) year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person hired to an exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York or have ninety (90) days from the date of employment to establish, then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York.

The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University on-campus student housing facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years, including reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certainoff-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act or the "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Police Department.
