Job Description

Context of Job: As a Post-Doctoral Researcher, you will support Prof. Yuping Zeng in the frontier of analog circuit design, implementation, and characterization, preferably for neuromorphic computing with emerging devices.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Design analog circuits with emerging devices developed in the group.
  • Understand device physics and circuit design principles.
  • Fabricate devices, characterize them, extract models, and apply these models in circuit design.
  • Optimize circuit designs.
  • Use Cadence for circuit design and ADS for RF circuit design.
  • Implement and characterize circuits.
  • Guide and assist graduate students.

Research Areas: Choose any of the following areas you are competent in:

  • Devices: High-frequency electronic devices (heterojunction bipolar transistors, HEMTs), low-power devices (tunneling FETs, non-silicon MOSFETs, thin-film transistors), light-emitting devices, high-speed detectors.
  • Circuits: Analog circuits for Neuromorphic computing.
Qualifications
  • PhD required at the time of hire.
  • 1-year analog circuit design experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in software such as Cadence, LT-Spice, Verilog-A, Python, ADS, ICCAP, etc.
  • Ability to perform circuit analysis and characterization.
