Job summary

WPU The William Paterson University of New Jersey is seeking qualified individuals to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting. Responsibilities include developing syllabi, deploying course content, and providing mentoring to support student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s or MBA in accounting or related field plus a CPA with at least 5 years managerial teaching experience for undergraduate courses.
• Master’s or MBA in accounting or related field plus a CPA with at least 10 years managerial teaching experience for graduate courses.
• Preferred: Professional certifications, fifteen years managerial experience, published scholarly work, and board membership.

• Deploy course content, objectives, and assessment methods.
• Contribute to student success through consistent support, mentoring, and role‑modeling.
• Teach in person and/or online, depending on schedules and department needs.

Qualifications

Undergraduate courses:

• Master’s or MBA in accounting or related field plus a CPA with at least 5 years managerial experience teaching accounting.
• J.D. plus L.L.M for teaching Taxation and Business Law courses.
• Full‑time or part‑time employment or active professional practice.
• Ability to teach online.
• Preferred: One or more years teaching at the higher‑education level and professional activity within the discipline.

Graduate courses:

• Master’s or MBA in accounting or related field plus a CPA with at least 10 years managerial experience teaching accounting.
• J.D. plus L.L.M for teaching Taxation and Business Law courses.
• Full‑time or part‑time employment or active professional practice.
• Ability to teach online.
• Preferred: Professional certifications, exceeding fifteen years managerial experience, published scholarly work, board membership, and experience teaching online and in person.

Compensation & Benefits

• Adjunct staff: $2100/CREDIT for new employees; $2175/CREDIT for those with 13+ semesters at WP.
• Eligible for comprehensive benefits package including health, dental insurance and retirement plans.
