WPU The William Paterson University of New Jersey is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Department of Political Science, Legal, and Urban Studies. The role involves teaching courses both in-person and online while developing course syllabi and contributing to student success.

Adjunct Faculty – Department of Political Science, Legal, and Urban Studies.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person and/or online depending on departmental needs.
• Develop syllabi with relevant course content, objectives, and methods of student assessment.
• Return graded assignments to students in a timely manner using a clear and appropriate grading methodology.
• Contribute to student success by being available during set office hours to address student questions and/or concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Juris Doctor degree in political science or a similar field.
• Ability to teach in-person or online.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience in a field related to government or law.
• Experience teaching both online and in-person.

Adjuncts Per Credit Rate

• New employees – $2100 per credit
• Employees who have worked for 13+ semesters at WP – $2175 per credit
