Job summary

Motlow State Community College seeks an Adjunct English Learning Support Faculty (Pool) to provide high-quality instruction across courses per catalog and syllabi. The position supports dual enrollment and may travel among campuses.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in English-related fields or equivalent graduate hours, with preferred doctoral credentials and CC teaching experience. The role is part-time and contingent on funding, with eligibility to teach up to 12 credit hours

Qualifications

• Master’s degree by application date or Master’s with 18 grad hours in discipline by date.
• Fields include English, English Education, Literature, Journalism, Juris-Doctorate, Technical Writing.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned per catalog description and syllabus.
• Teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools as assigned.
• Travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular/programmatic issues.
• Support student learning and college goals.
• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester.
• Communicate with students and attend meetings as requested.
• Respond to Dean’s requests promptly.
• Submit paperwork timely and comply with MSCC policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
