Job summary

Motlow State Community College is accepting applications for the Adjunct Engineering Faculty (Pool) position. The pool position involves providing high‑quality instruction and evaluating student performance according to catalog descriptions and course syllabi.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field (18 graduate hours in discipline). A Doctoral degree and CC teaching experience are preferred. Travel to multiple campuses may be required.

Qualifications

  • :Master’s degree in discipline or a qualifying field from a regionally accredited institution by the application date or a Master’s degree in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in discipline or a qualifying field earned from a regionally accredited college or university by the application date.
  • Qualifying fields include Engineering and Physics.
  • Preferred qualifications include doctoral degree and CC teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses as assigned and travel to multiple campuses.
  • Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular and programmatic issues.
  • Support students and college operations.
  • Stay current with teaching developments and incorporate updates.
  • Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester.
  • Submit paperwork timely and comply with policies.
