Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking qualified applicants for an Adjunct - Emergency Medical Services Professions (EMSP) pool. The pool fills part-time/adjunct assignments on an as-needed basis and is valid for one year, with reapplication required to remain in the pool.

Teaching may occur online, on-campus or in dual-credit settings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in EMS Professions.
• Three (3) years of EMS experience.
• Current certification or licensure from the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Paramedic.

Job Description Summary

ADJUNCT - EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PROFESSIONS ( EMSP ):
The purpose of this position is to teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need, and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Emergency Medical Services ( EMS ) Professions.
Three (3) years of EMS experience.
Current certification or licensure from the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Paramedic.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful college teaching experience experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.
