Central Community College Nebraska is seeking an Adjunct Electrical Instructor to teach evening courses as part of the Electrical Fundamentals Certificate. The instructor will collaborate with the Associate Dean and fellow instructors to facilitate student learning and help them reach educational goals.

Requirements include an associate degree (or bachelor’s with a license) and 5+ years of relevant experience, with a Nebraska (or reciprocal) electrical license.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or related field, or a bachelor’s degree with required license.
  • Five+ years of relevant work experience, or three years with a bachelor’s and reciprocal license.
  • State electrical license required (or reciprocal) and familiarity with NFPA/National/State codes.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses as part of the Electrical Fundamentals Certificate, including safety and wiring topics.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Dean and program instructors to support student goals.
  • Deliver instruction in the evening at the Kearney Center and represent CCC professionally.

Adjunct Electrical Instructor

Knowledge of National, State, and Local Electrical Codes, residential and commercial wiring and theory, residential and commercial electrical tools and equipment required.

General Summary The instructor will teach courses as part of the Electrical Fundamental Certificate, courses include Electrical safety, Electrical Systems, Residential wiring, commercial wiring, and commercial wiring I. The instructor will collaborate with the Associate Dean and other program instructors to assist students in accessing learning and attaining educational goals; facilitate learning by providing varied learning experiences and teaching in instructional modalities as assigned; and professionally represent the college, its role and mission. The instructor will meet the education and work experience standards set forth in the job specifications. The instructor will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures and accreditation standards.

Courses are offering in the evening out of the Kearney Center.
