Position: Adjunct Faculty – Various Disciplines

Role Description

The Lead Doctoral Faculty Mentor (LDFM) supports doctoral students/candidates as they complete their Dissertation in Practice (DiP) for the EdD program. The LDFM provides constructive feedback on performance related to DiP content and process in a scaffolded manner over five semesters, ensuring a feasible study design and a high-quality applied research dissertation. The LDFM mentors students over 5–6 semesters, beginning in the second year, with most journeys culminating in semester 8. This is a year-round program with continuous support. The LDFM submits administrative forms to document student progress and guides chapter design and development, collaborating with teaching faculty each semester. LDFMs attend live virtual training sessions and review mentoring modules on Marymount’s LMS, Canvas, asynchronously. This is a stipend position culminating in $2000 distributed over the mentorship period.By joining the LDFM program, one works with an assigned mentee and joins a community committed to ongoing professional development and mentoring doctoral students while contributing to published research.
