Wallace Community College seeks an Adjunct Instructor to provide high-quality mathematics instruction across assignments as demand requires. Courses are taught in accordance with approved curricula, standards, and policies, fostering student success and active participation.
Responsibilities include preparing materials, delivering lectures and labs, assessing student work, maintaining records, and supporting learning outcomes within FERPA guidelines.
The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in assigned courses, supporting student learning outcomes, maintaining accurate academic records, and contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment. The Adjunct Instructor teaches courses at various times and locations based on student demand, in accordance with the approved curriculum, institutional policies, accreditation standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Adjunct instructors in the academic fields are paid $680.00 per credit hour taught, not to exceed 19 hours per week. Compensation for substitute instructors may vary depending on the duration of the instructional assignment and the instructional division within the College. The College will determine appropriate compensation arrangements for substitute instructors.
Part-time positions are posted based on the possible availability of a future assignment, which is sporadic and may not occur. Available positions are contingent upon enrollment and instructional needs of the College.
