Job summary

Illinois Central College seeks adjunct faculty to teach culinary classes at the Peoria campus. Part-time position, up to 12 contact hours per semester, with office hours and adherence to syllabi to support student success.

Ideal candidates will hold a culinary degree (bachelor’s preferred) or equivalent experience, and prefer prior instructional or higher education experience. Applicants must be Illinois residents at hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts is required.
• Alternate qualifications include Culinary Arts associate degree with 2,000 hours kitchen experience or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching or training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coordinate assigned culinary courses meeting classroom standards.
• Maintain office hours to support student success.
• Follow master syllabi and communicate class expectations.
• Collaborate with faculty to improve student experiences.
• Perform related duties as required.
