College of the Mainland is seeking an adjunct Criminal Justice Dual Credit Instructor to support online and in-person instruction for the Criminal Justice AS degree. The position requires TCOLE certification and at least five years of full‑time professional experience in the field.

Preferred candidates hold an Associate Degree or higher, a TCOLE Master Peace Officer License, and experience teaching or mentoring diverse student populations.

College of the Mainland is seeking adjunct Criminal Justice Faculty members to assist the expansion of the Criminal Justice Associate of Arts degree program. This position is for online and in person instruction.

Minimum qualifications must be met to be considered for credentialing:
TCOLE Certified Peace Officer and
At least five (5) years of full-time professional experience in the field of criminal justice, including law enforcement, probation, corrections, courts, etc. Certifications, if any, must be in good standing, if applicable, in your specific area of expertise.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience

Associate Degree or higher in a criminal justice-related field.
TCOLE Master Peace Officer License
At least ten (10) years of professional experience in the field of criminal justice, including law enforcement, probation, corrections, courts, etc.
Experience in teaching/advising/mentoring high school and/or college-level students with broad, diverse backgrounds is also desired.
Possess a comprehensive knowledge of current instructional techniques and technology and knowledge and experience in teaching. Knowledge of Desire to Learn/Brightspace or other LMS systems is desirable.
Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication and people skills.

• Communication:
