Qualifications

• 5 years of current relevant experience in the automotive repair industry.
• ASE certification (minimum)
• Technical diploma or higher in automotive technology preferred.
• Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 29 hours per week during regular semesters as needed.
• Deliver instruction day, afternoon, evening and weekend classes when applicable.
• Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on lab training: automotive repair, vehicle service, diagnostics.
• Incorporate safety, industry best practices, and modern automotive technologies into instruction.
• Collaborate on curriculum development with Program Coordinator and faculty.
• Create lesson plans and learning activities aligned to objectives and diverse learning styles.
• Integrate practical hands-on experiences into coursework.
• Emphasize shop safety and use of industry-standard equipment.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and keep current on automotive tech trends.
