South Louisiana Community College invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach courses within the Business & Technical Studies area. The role focuses on delivering instruction, preparing syllabi, maintaining an active classroom, and supporting student learning.

Qualified candidates hold a Baccalaureate in the discipline or equivalents, with 2+ years of related professional experience; a 3-credit course pay is offered.

Qualifications

• Requires Baccalaureate in the discipline and 2+ years related professional experience, or
• Associate degree with 3+ years of occupational experience and teaching credentials, or
• Diploma/certificate with 4 years teaching-related experience, or
• At least 5 years of occupational experience with teaching-related qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active classroom environment conducive to student learning.
• Manage classroom, laboratory, equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Prepare and deliver instruction to students.
• Develop, update and post course syllabi in a timely manner.
• Evaluate student performance and return work promptly to promote learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grades.
• Use technology to access data, maintain records, and communicate.
