Job summary

Houston Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor for the BAT Artificial Intelligence program to deliver high-quality instruction, develop course materials, and support student learning across multiple modalities.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in a STEM field (AI/Data Science/CS) with relevant industry experience, and be prepared to teach day or evening classes at several campus locations. Doctorate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a STEM field such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related major.
• Doctorate degree in the aforementioned fields preferred.
• Copy of transcript conferring required degree and certifications must accompany application.
• 3 years industrial experience in ML/AI, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and laboratories in AI/ML topics.
• Develop and use syllabi per college guidelines and update as needed.
• Plan and deliver instruction across modalities to accommodate diverse learners.
• Advise students and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and community.
• Maintain LMS shells and incorporate technology in the classroom.
