Job summary

Houston City College is seeking an adjunct instructor for Artificial Intelligence CE in the Essentials Program. The role involves teaching per CE workload, developing syllabi, and engaging with students to support learning outcomes across multiple sites in Houston.

The incumbent will advise students, participate in professional development, and contribute to department and college activities while maintaining records and supporting instructional labs with technology.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a STEM-related field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or other science major.
• 3+ years industrial experience in Networking, Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, AI/ML, System Support, Databases/Fulfillment, Storage, Electrical Systems, Software Design/Development, Gaming Design/Programming, Programming or Robotics.
• Beyond expertise in machine learning, preference will be given to real-world experience in areas such as cloud computing, networks, information security, and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and develop syllabi at multiple sites around the city.
• Advise students, maintain office hours, and assist with program-related issues.
